Why is it that we have we been so happy these last six months? It cannot just be explained by a break from our ordinary life (which ultimately includes a portion of stress and say seriousness), although I'm sure that it has played its part too.
For my part, I have greatly enjoyed the unknown:
- To be in new neighborhoods.
- To detect that the scent is different.
- To visit monasteries where the monks brew their own beer.
- To figure out that the garbage is allocated in three different bags are should be placed outside the door.
- To see a sickening amount of different brands of butter in the store and note that none is called Arla (the Swedish brand).
- To find the evening air so humid and warm.
- To find that so many seem to enjoy the good in life.
- To stand in a line, with a Norwegian guy in front of me and a Hungarian behind me, all three struggling (but getting by) with our French.
- To wander in giant and gorgeous oak woods (not Pine trees).
- To see so many beautiful townhouses, i.e. to have a house with a garden in the city center!
- To know that Paris, London and Amsterdam are only 1 to 2 hours away.
- To be in the middle of politics with barbwire, police officers and farmers.
- To get to know new friends.
- To hang out with the kids and have all the time in the world to do exactly that - hang out.
- To conquer the unknown.
Perhaps, under such conditions, it’s easy to be completely open to everything a new place has to offer? Maybe I should bring some of that mentality back? One my way to work in the morning I might be able to see how beautiful the street Grönviksvägen truly is and how wonderful it is to see the sun rise over the bridge Tranebergsbron? Everything is possible. Maybe it’s all a matter of attitude.
But the new and the unknown is fun. I realize that it makes me tick.

Thank you for taking us along on your magical mystery tour. We loved it.
