There is a rat in my kitchen

I'm not joking. The odor from our kitchen is appalling. You can't go in. It stinks. I've looked everywhere but I just can't find the darn animal, or whatever it is that stinks!

And we are just about to clean out the house, pack our stuff, clean, clean, clean... and then a rat has decided to go kill himself in our kitchen. Is that fair?
